ABOUT
Sinan Barut is a Turkish filmmaker based in London. Originally trained as a lawyer, he made his debut short film Mind the Gap in late 2025. His work explores the absurdities of everyday life through realism and a touch of dark humour.
Alongside filmmaking, he works with photography and screenwriting as part of the same creative process.
MIND THE GAP (2025)
A dysfunctional documentary crew investigates a train track incident, uncovering the fractured relationship between a train driver and his son. Through scattered interviews and awkward encounters, the crew pieces together a story of guilt, estrangement and fragile connections.
